Abstract:
Background: In spite of intensive research, the etiology and the pathogenesis of
Hodgkin´s lymphoma are still unclear. In this article I am presenting
Hodgkin´s disease as a psychosomatic disorder with accentuation on
nongenetic and nonbiological etiological factors and as a disease provoking
mental disorders when the lymphoma itself is in good remission. In a case
report I will show the psychodinamic and environmental factors that had an
effect on the appearance of the disease besides biological vulnerability and
the psychodinamic factors, that led to present symptoms. Conclusions: The aim of this article is to spur on the stating of the psychodinamic factors at other patients with Hodgkin´s disease for better understanding of all circumstances of this illness and to include psychoterapy in the treatment plan for patients with lymphoma.
