   Abstract: Key features of the first psychiatric interview with its diagnostics and therapeutic possibilities, the importance of the patient – psychiatrists relationship and examples of interventions, most frequently used in psychiatric ambulatory care are presented in this article. Its aim is the introduction of the psychiatrist’s work to medical doctors and other medical workers that are dealing with the same patients.
